"Ranup Lampuan" Dance is one of Aceh's traditional dances that is most often featured on big and small events in Aceh.
This dance is performed by the women holding a box of betel which will be given to the guests and the community. Dance Ranup Lampuan is so popular that it is often done when welcoming honorable guests in government or customary activities in Aceh.

"Ranup Lampuan" dance until now serves as a greeting dance honorable guest or the opening of the Aceh custom ceremony. Like the philosophy of his name, this dance is often synonymous with betel and puan in the custom of Acehnese society has a special meaning in it. For the people of Aceh, sirih and puan are symbols of fraternal community.
