It’s durian seasons and this year I manage to eat that king of fruits twice already. That was not so a couple of weeks ago. I took this photo of a long time durian store at Balestier Road last week one day. A few nights before then, I was driving pass the store and saw a long queue there.

Durian always reminds me of the Durian candies and other sweets my mom brings home from her trips. Not until a few years, Durian does not grow here locally until some farmers decided to plant Durian trees.
The candies and other stuff made from the durian is less "potent" than the actual fruit.

STOPI’ve had Durian to me it reminded me of onions that we’re going bad lol.
Oh... you been through the fear factor thing then. Many western world people I know hate it and many to the extend of smelling it from far won't even go near. :-)
It didn’t smell bad to me. I didn’t hate it, I just didn’t love it.
One reason westerners may not eat it as much is the price here. It was so expensive!
I may try it again someday.
Sadly that is something I have never had.
On the other hand, it may be something you regret.
Most people from the west I know hate time though there was a Canadian white guy who love it in one of the client place I was working at. It's AMRI Global. He works in labs dealing with all sorts of chemicals. So, I guess he smelt worst stuff.
