It does look like Bitcoin could go up fast now and the last time that happened, the altcoins went down, so your advice could be good. It depends on the altcoin though, some will still probably outdo bitcoin but they might be harder to find. I like having a balance of Bitcoin and altcoins, so I can take advantage if either goes up.
Will there are only so few bitcoins, with limited numbers people will always look for alternatives so they can get a slice of the crypto market pie. Also altcoins also pushes the price of Bitcoin, so having more people buy as altcoins will affect the price of Bitcoin.
