Inktober drawings 2018 (week 2).
Hi everyone!
Here I would like to show to all of you my second week making "inktober2018" with "girltober" too. One ink drawing per day for whole october.
Ink 8. key word "star" I do not know why but I really enjoy drawing mermaids.
Ink 9. dedicated to Jacqueline Du Pre. At a young age, she achieved enduring mainstream popularity – unusual for a classical artist. Despite her short career, she is regarded as one of the greatest cellists of all time. Short career because she got sick by multiple sclerosis, which forced her to stop performing at the age of 28.
Ink 10. Key word "Flowing". It is just a fantasy character I made for fun.
Ink 11. Dedicated to Rosa Parks. Do you know her? Is an activistic for afroamerican rights in United Stated. On December 1, 1955, in Montgomery, Alabama, Parks rejected bus driver James F. Blake's order to relinquish her seat in the "colored section" to a white passenger, after the whites-only section was filled. She became an international icon of resistance to racial segregation.
Ink 12. Dedicated to Hipatia. You know, She was a prominent thinker of the Neoplatonic school in Alexandria, where she taught philosophy and astronomy. In the history the women were segregated of education, but she overcome this context and she is one of the great symbol of female empowerment of history.
Ink 13. Key word "Guarded". Another fantastic character done for inktober2018
Ink 14. dedicated to Simone Beauvoir. I hear about her for first time this year, she was an interesting French writer, intellectual, existentialist philosopher, political activist, feminist and social theorist.
De Beauvoir maintains that "the woman" or what we understand as a woman is a cultural product that has been socially constructed. Denounce that the woman has been defined throughout the story always about something (as a mother, wife, daughter, sister) and claims that the main task of women is to regain their own specific identity and from their own criteria. The characteristics that are identified in women do not come from their genetics, but from how they have been educated and socialized. As a summary of this thought he wrote one of his most famous phrases: "No woman is born, one becomes one"
It was my second week making "Inktober" combine with "girltober". Do you like these illustrations? If you have not see my previous week, check my last post clicking here
