Todays 10 min health challenge
Alright, Kids, we're going to focus on trauma today. I know, it's scary, but at some point if we're all honest with ourselves we could probably all agree there's things we need to work on. Am I right? Most of us have developed coping mechanisms, fears, bad habits, and or limiting beliefs about ourselves related to some sort of trauma. Many times it stems from early childhood when we're putting meanings to things we experience. Unfortunately we often attach inaccurate meanings to experiences leaving us with trauma based behavior which can throw a wrench in future relationships. As well meant as they are, oftentimes parents can project their fears and beliefs on us as children as well leaving us with these sorts of mechanisms. And so on and so forth. Trauma can remain in family lines for ages... So today I invite you to look deep within. What beliefs or fears do you allow to get in your way of doing things you want to do? What habits have you formed? Have you had any relationship troubles that seem to repeat relentlessly? Have you ever thought to yourself it has nothing to do with the other person...that you may be sabotaging yourself? Many times that's exactly what we are doing... And that can be difficult to admit and face. I invite you to do some self help research today on trauma. The research is everywhere, with endless theories on what types of things trauma can cause inside us. Fragmented brains leading to "mental illness" for example... Ask yourself where you stand in all this. Did your parents instill any fears or beliefs in you that hold you back? Did anything happen to you in your past that keeps you from enjoying something now? Do you hide your true self from others? Give yourself permission to breathe it away, let it go... You can incorporate this within your other daily health challenges such as meditations or deep breathing exercises or when you examine your limiting beliefs. This all goes hand in hand. Be gentle and caring with yourself;) Namaste, Amy💕
