Abolitionist Abstractions Vlog 27: So much for that family vacation...
Here is today's vlog! I dropped off Murder Dog with the wife and kids early in the AM so that I could finally ditch my mining rig with a local friend, hit up my storage unit to pickup some more camping supplies, and stop by the Indian reservation for some cheap cancer sticks. After bit of driving and a couple of hours in the hot sun rearranging the Element, I headed back west to pick up Murder Dog and meet the wife and kids at another doctor's appointment. Unfortunately, bad news followed.
Turns out that one of the kids has a pretty nasty upper respiratory issue. Between that and the wife also not feeling well, they're all going to have to bail on the MPLFest. So, it will just be Murder Dog and I making the trip. Despite the fun that I'm sure we will have, I am bumming a bit because I really wanted the whole family to go. Maybe next year...
Oh, and I remembered the second thing that happened late night, which I couldn't recall during the recording. I accidentally threw my phone out while cleaning up the Element. Luckily I realized my error before the garbage can got emptied, but that coupled with the impromptu shower Murder Dog and I received just added to the night's entertainment.

I forgot to tell you that's another way to get a free shower. Late night landscaping sprinklers. I've not done that myself but have seen and heard about others doing that to get a shower. Works better in warmer climates though. :)
I found a place we can camp Wednesday night for free. It's a trail head parking area for the North Country National Scenic Trail, only 2.7 miles from Circle Pines Center. Plenty of room for three vehicles and well hidden from S. Yankee Springs Rd. that leads you here. Here's the map location link.
