AUGMENTED REALITY: NIANTIC DELIVERS ESCHER REALITY

Niantic Labs, developer of Pokémon GO and Harry Potter: Wizards Unite continues to strengthen its position by offering the services of Escher Reality, a company dedicated to augmented reality.

In a statement posted on its website, Niantic announces that the company, headed by Ross Finman and Diana Hu is now joining its new parent company:

"Escher's innovations focus on exploring the intersection of the digital and physical worlds, augmented reality (AR) and computer vision. Escher's technology makes it possible to create persistent multi-platform multi-user experiences. The addition of Escher's technology is extremely exciting for Niantic, as it greatly accelerates our work on augmented reality (...) ".

The projects that Niantic and Escher Reality will pursue together are not yet known, but this acquisition marks a strengthening of the company in the field that has already brought it success.
