General Description of Al Ikhlas Mosque Gampong Cot Bate

1. History of Masjid Al Ikhlas
   Al Ikhlas Mosque is in Gampong Cot Bate, Kuala District of Bireun Regency and was established in 1906 AD or coincided at the beginning of Muharram 1320 H with emergency conditions as was the case at that time. The construction of the Al Ikhlas Mosque was carried out in stages, with several rehabs and extensions, namely in 1980 and the last year of 2000 as the current conditions.
   The establishment of the mosque was the result of the ideas of several religious leaders and community leaders who were concerned about the development of Islam in the early 1900s in the Kuala District area, especially in the area of ​​worship facilities namely the Mosque. The figures who were the initiators were Alm. H. Pulo from Gampong Cot Bate, Alm. Tgk Abbas from Kuta Baro Village, Alm. Tgk. Abu Bakar from the Cot Kuta Village and Alm. Tgk. M. Yusuf from Cot Geulumpang Village, Kuala District.

2. Physical Conditions of Al Ikhlas Mosque
   Since being built permanently in 1980 and the completion of the main mosque building in 2000, the physical condition and building of the Masjid Al Ikhlas continue to be improved for the comfort of the congregation in worship. With capital assistance from the community and government, the construction committee of Al Ikhlas Mosque together with the mosque residents consisting of Cot Bate Village, Cot Unoe Village, Kuta Baro Village, Geulumpang Cot Village and Cot Kuta Village continues to fix the Al Ikhlas Mosque physically.
   From the author's observation, the condition of Al Ikhlas Mosque in general is in good condition, except that there are no domes and towers as a hallmark of a mosque. The roof of the mosque is made of zinc and has been repainted to avoid rust. Al Ikhlas Mosque floor has been installed with ceramics, with windows already ready, and mosque doors made of glass, with ceilings made of plywood. The condition of the mosque's pulpit as the place where the preacher preached was good. Al Ikhlas Mosque has good sound system equipment and is very useful not only for Friday sermons, but also for religious study sessions held regularly in mosques.
   Al Ikhlas Mosque supporting facilities are also sufficient, according to the author's monitoring, there are adequate sanitation facilities with two toilets for both men and two women's toilets, a permanent place to sit and an open place for wudhuk (kulah), to practice jama ' ah Al Ikhlas Mosque also still uses a lot of water tanks (kulah) which have been fitted with ceramics.

3. Mosque Management and Activities
   To ensure the smooth development and daily religious activities at Al Ikhlas Mosque, the Al Ikhlas Mosque construction committee was formed which is currently chaired by H. Abdullah Amin from the Cot Kuta Village with the secretary entrusted to Bukhari Yusuf from Cot Bate Village. As for the smooth running of daily worship activities, Imam Masjid is currently held by Drs. Tgk. Razali A. Wahab from Cot Bate Village with daily trust in Tgk. Ibrahim from Kuta Baro Village.
   As a center of religious activity for residents of 5 Gampong incorporated in Al Ikhlas mosque, Al Ikhlas Mosque plays an important role by enlivening the activities of the majelis ta'lim and regular recitations for residents. In addition, the Al Ikhlas Mosque management together with the mosque residents routinely held various religious events and Islamic holidays.

4. Asset Waqf Al Ikhlas Mosque
   As a mosque that only supervises five Gampong, the number of land assets of Masjid Al Ikhlas is not too much. Until the beginning of 2016 when the author interviewed the mosque management, the total number of waqf lands belonging to Al Ikhlas Mosque only amounted to 5 (five) plots, all of which were paddy fields, gardens and ponds, with pericians as follows:

5. Waqf land from H. Juned in the form of paddy fields located in Cot Unoe Village, Kuala District with a total area of ​​1,500 m2. It borders the Tgk Abdurrahman land to the south, to the north with Rusli land to the west with Banta Ali land and east to Jalan Gampong Cot Unoe.

6. Waqf land from Tgk. H. Husein in the form of a garden (oil palm) located in Gampong Krueng in July, Kuala Subdistrict with a total area of ​​3,500 M2 bordering the land of Ibrahim to the south, north to the land of Tgk. Muhammad was west of Nurdin and east with Tgk. Hasan.

7. Waqf land from Cut Salamah is in the form of paddy fields located in Cot Kuta Village with an overall area of ​​1,232 M2 bordering the land of Tgk. Sulaiman in the south, north of Fatimah on the west with Husen and on the east with Ismail.

8. Waqf land by Tgk. Yusuf in the form of paddy fields located in Cot Bate Village with a total area of ​​1,503 M2 bordering Rubiah's land to the south, to the north with Rusli land to the west with Syakbi land and to the east

Gambaran Umum Masjid Al Ikhlas Gampong Cot Bate

1. Sejarah Masjid Al Ikhlas
   Masjid Al Ikhlas berada di Gampong Cot Bate Kecamatan Kuala Kabupaten Bireun dan didirikan sejak tahun 1906 M atau bertepatan pada awal bulan Muharram 1320 H dengan kondisi serba darurat sebagaimana keadaan pada masa itu. Pembangunan Masjid Al Ikhlas dilakukan secara bertahap, dengan beberapa kali mengalami rehab dan perluasan yakni tahun 1980 dan terakhir tahun 2000 sebagaimana kondisi sekarang.
   Pendirian Masjid ini merupakan hasil gagasan dari beberapa tokoh agama dan tokoh masyarakat yang peduli terhadap perkembangan agama Islam di awal tahun 1900-an di wilayah Kecamatan Kuala, khususnya dibidang sarana peribadatan yaitu Masjid. Para tokoh yang merupakan penggagasnya antara lain Alm. H. Pulo dari Gampong Cot Bate, Alm. Tgk Abbas dari Gampong Kuta Baro, Alm. Tgk. Abu Bakar dari Gampong Cot Kuta dan Alm. Tgk. M. Yusuf dari Gampong Cot Geulumpang Kecamatan Kuala.

2. Kondisi Fisik Masjid Al Ikhlas
   Semenjak dibangun secara permanen tahun 1980 dan selesainya bangunan utama Masjid pada tahun 2000, kondisi fisik dan bangunan Masjid Al Ikhlas terus ditingkatkan demi kenyamanan para jama’ah dalam beribadah. Dengan bermodal bantuan swadana dari masyarakat dan pemerintah, panitia pembangunan Masjid Al Ikhlas bersama warga kemesjidan yang terdiri dari Gampong Cot Bate, Gampong Cot Unoe, Gampong Kuta Baro, Gampong Cot Geulumpang dan Gampong Cot Kuta terus membenahi fisik Masjid Al Ikhlas.
   Dari hasil observasi penulis, kondisi Masjid Al Ikhlas secara umum sudah dalam kondisi baik, hanya saja belum ada kubah dan menara sebagai ciri khas sebuah Masjid. Atap Masjid terbuat dari seng dan sudah dicat ulang untuk menghindari karatan. Lantai Masjid Al Ikhlas telah dipasang keramik, dengan jendela yang telah siap, dan pintu Masjid terbuat dari kaca, dengan plafon terbuat dari tripleks. Kondisi mimbar masjid sebagai tempat khatib berkhutbah sudah baik. Masjid Al Ikhlas telah memiliki peralatan sound system yang baik dan sangat berguna tidak hanya untuk khutbah jumat, tetapi untuk pengajian majelis ta’lim yang diadakan rutin di Masjid.
   Fasilitas pendukung Masjid Al Ikhlas juga sudah memadai, dimana menurut pemantauan penulis, terdapat fasilitas sanitasi yang memadai dengan adanya WC baik untuk pria sebanyak dua unit maupun WC wanita sebanyak dua, tempat wuduk yang permanen dan tempat wudhuk terbuka (kulah), untuk berwudhuk jama’ah Masjid Al Ikhlas juga masih banyak menggunakan bak air (kulah) yang sudah dipasangi keramik.

3. Pengurus dan Kegiatan Masjid
   Untuk menjamin kelancaran pembangunan dan kegiatan keagamaan sehari-hari di Masjid Al Ikhlas, maka dibentuk panitia pembangunan Masjid Al Ikhlas yang pada saat ini diketuai oleh H. Abdullah Amin dari Gampong Cot Kuta dengan sekretaris dipercayakan kepada Bukhari Yusuf dari Gampong Cot Bate. Sedangkan untuk kelancaran aktivitas ibadah sehari-hari, Imam Masjid saat ini dijabat oleh Drs. Tgk. Razali A. Wahab dari Gampong Cot Bate dengan bilal sehari-hari dipercayakan kepada Tgk. Ibrahim dari Gampong Kuta Baro.
   Sebagai pusat aktifitas keagamaan bagi warga dari 5 Gampong yang tergabung dalam kemasjidan Al Ikhlas, Masjid Al Ikhlas memainkan peran penting dengan menghidupkan kegiatan majelis ta’lim dan pengajian rutin bagi warga. Selain itu pengurus Masjid Al Ikhlas bersama warga kemasjidan rutin menggelar berbagai acara keagamaan dan perayaan hari besar Islam.

4. Aset Wakaf Masjid Al Ikhlas
   Sebagai Masjid yang hanya membawahi lima Gampong, maka jumlah aset tanah wakaf Masjid Al Ikhlas tidaklah terlalu banyak. Sampai awal 2016 ketika penulis mewawancarai pengurus Masjid, jumlah keseluruhan tanah wakaf milik Masjid Al Ikhlas hanya berjumlah 5 (lima) petak yang kelimanya merupakan tanah sawah, kebun dan tambak, dengan perician sebagai berikut:

Juned berupa tanah sawah yang terletak di Gampong Cot Unoe Kecamatan Kuala dengan luas keseluruhan 1.500.M2 berbatasan dengan tanah Tgk Abdurrahman sebelah selatan, sebelah utara dengan tanah Rusli sebelah barat dengan tanah Banta Ali dan sebelah timur dengan Jalan Gampong Cot Unoe.

6. Tanah wakaf dari Tgk. H. Husein berupa kebun (kelapa sawit) yang terletak di Gampong Krueng Juli Barat Kecamatan Kuala dengan luas keseluruhan 3.500 M2 berbatasan dengan tanah Ibrahim sebelah selatan, sebelah utara dengan tanah Tgk. Muhammad sebelah barat dengan tanah Nurdin dan sebelah timur dengan tanah Tgk. Hasan.

7. Tanah wakaf dari Cut Salamah berupa tanah sawah yang terletak di Gampong Cot Kuta dengan luas keseluruhan 1.232 M2 berbatasan dengan tanah Tgk. Sulaiman sebelah selatan, sebelah utara dengan tanah Fatimah sebelah barat dengan tanah Husen dan sebelah timur dengan tanah Ismail.

8. Tanah wakaf dari Tgk. Yusuf berupa tanah sawah yang terletak di Gampong Cot Bate dengan luas keseluruhan 1.503 M2 berbatasan dengan tanah Rubiah sebelah selatan, sebelah utara dengan tanah Rusli sebelah barat dengan tanah Syakbi dan sebelah timur dengan jalan Gampong Cot Bate.

9. Tanah wakaf dari H. Zulbahri berupa tambak yang terletak di Gampong Lancok Pante Ara dengan luas keseluruhan 1.650 M2 berbatasan dengan tambak M. Kasem sebelah selatan, sebelah utara dengan tambak Mustafa sebelah barat dengan tambak Musliadi dan sebelah timur dengan saluran.
