Contest! The Diary Game – #19 - How I Celebrated Christmas

Hello Everyone

Wish You All a Merry Christmas!!!!. Hope you all are doing well.... This is my first article for the contest of "Share your day with us." and I'm happy to share my day with you all as it was really interesting for me. And I would like to invite @hash96, @mikitaly and @nusrath75 to participate in this contest.

Today I woke up at 6.00 am, had a bath and got ready to go to the church for the Christmas mass. Before leaving I had my morning snack, a cup of tea, a piece cake and a banana.

We arrived the church by 7.45 am and the mass was to begin at 8.00 am. Today the mass was about "Good Governance" and the farther preached about the extract from the Holy Bible relating it to the current situation in our country. It's true that the country is bankrupted by the corrupted rulers that we have and the priest preached on how to select the correct leaders for the country and how we as citizens can work together to bring our country back to normal.

Then we returned home and had our breakfast, String Hoppers with Dhal curry and Coconut salad which is one of my favourites. The best part of today's meal was were having breakfast together as a family, which we always miss on normal days due to our busy schedules. Before the meal we normally do our prayers thanking the God for all what he has given us.

Then we started preparing the lunch, Biryani which was today's special. The speciality is we prepared it not only for us but for another special friend. Christmas is all about spreading love and happiness! Yes we celebrated it with the true meaning of giving.

At our neighborhood there is a poor family where differently abled adult lives. We used to give them dry ingredients monthly and today we thought why shouldn't we share the tasty food that we are having for lunch. We packed a parcel for them and took it to their home. They happily accepted our gift and thanked us a lot for remembering them on this special day. I have posted here a small video of how we packed lunch packet and handed over it to them, because I want you all who read this to spread kindness like this.

We returned home and had our lunch together and then it was time for us to play cards. We had so much fun playing cards, singing songs and chatting with each other, spending a family time full of laughter. Then I made some Christmas origamis which I saw on YouTube and tried it out for myself and it came out perfectly well.

I spent the night on a family movie time and the movie we watched was "Jawaan" a newly released Hindi movie which is featured by the famous actor Sharuk Khan. We were all full and not ready for a dinner so we had some snacks cutlets, tea and sandwiches.

Before going to bed I helped my mom with making the ingredients ready for tomorrow's meals as she we will be not available at home tomorrow til the evening as she goes to the temple to observe Sil as tomorrow is a Full Moon Poya Day which we spend in a religious way engaging in activities like observing Sil, alms giving, Bodhi Poojas and etc.

My day was spent really well and I'm happy that I could celebrate the Christmas in a meaningful way spreading love and kindness. I'm thank full to God for everything he has given me and blessing me with success throughout my life. I hope that you all too spend your Christmas happily with your loved ones and once again Wish You All a Merry Christmas !!!!
