Snout Beetle (Weevils)

in Beauty of Creativity5 years ago

Another round of nature piece is the weevils, also called snout beetles that mostly identified by having long snout, distinctly elbowed antennae that may fold into special grooves on the snout. Most of them have no wings, while the others are excellent fliers. This is apparently due to the large quantities of these seeds stored and our heavy dependence upon them. I guess, I was lucky to find them having good time on the leaf but I got to try harder for they made a lot of move when noticing me coming. So after doing several attempts, I was finally able to capture them with my smartphone.
