Tree Trunk Mushroom

in Beauty of Creativity5 days ago

As the day was a bit cloudy, I managed to explore the forest near the rocky rivers which was filled with dead trees. I was thrilled to see a group of mushrooms were still growing in the crack of coconut tree, which exposes its good color and this had urged me to take a few photos from various angle with my DSLR. These, as you know, are small mushrooms that love to live on trunks or dead wood. It appears, they had been there for quite some time, and I just found them yesterday when I was strolling around the backyard to look for the birds. I noticed them when I was about to leave the place and straightly attracted my attention to take shots. Having them around gave me much time to play with a lot of clicks. The mushrooms bloom from filament-like strands or threads (known as mycelium) that grow in the wood. Interestingly, these mushrooms are edible, but they are so fragile and insubstantial that they are not worth harvesting. As most of them grew in the shady spot, I managed to take them out to the light. Some mushrooms are very small that took me some time to get the focus.
