A-words that people are often confused about since they can both be used for comparisons these words are (as and like). And there are also important differences we have to know about it in this Lesson. The Structure are looks like following (as + adjective + as and as much as) People they often use the structure as + adjective + as or as much as to say if something has, or doesn't have, the same amount of that quality as something else and so on. There are some examples that could explains more about the grammar of.
1- She loves curry as much as I do.
2- He's not as tall as his brother.
3- It's not as expensive as the other hote
4- That dog is as big as that child.
We, also have to use as in the expression the same as.
your phone is the same as my brother phone.
calling someone is not the same as speaking in person.

B-The structure of (like + noun)

We could explains more about the grammar In the following comparisons, like is followed by a noun or a pronoun to say that two things are similar and there is no different. There are some examples that could explains more to understand
1- He's like a father to me.
2- She's acting like a child.
3- It's like a burger but with big mushrooms instead of bread.
4- There are lots of people like us.
in another meaning, It is also common to make comparisons using like with verbs of the senses.
1- She looks like her mother.
2- It sounds like a cat.
3- Nothing tastes like homemade lemonade.
4- It smells like medicine.
5- It feels like hoter.

C- structure of as if or as though + clause

We could use as if and as though can be used to compare a real situation to an imaginary situation. They are followed by a clause (a subject and verb). I will add some examples that could explains more to let follower @Steem School And friends could understand that more clearly by giving like these examples.
1- You look as if you've seen a ghost.
2- I felt as if I was floating above the ground.
3- You talk as though we're never going to see each other again.
D-They can say like or such as to give examples that can explains it good and easy to know.
1- You could try a team sport like football, basketball or hockey.
2- You should take something soft, such as a towel, to lie on.

How to use that when we talking about a job or function. We can use as + noun to talk about a job or function.
1- I worked as a school assistant for one year.
2- He used his coat as a blanket to keep warm.
E- As to connect two phrases. as can be used as a conjunction to connect two phrases. It can have different meanings.
as mean (because) as =because. We can add some examples that could explains as well
1- All the tickets were sold out as we got there too late.
2- As the road was closed, I had to park on the next street.
Another structure to explaine (as = 'while' or 'during the time that)
1- She called as I was getting out of the bath.
2- As they were arriving, we were leaving.
As = 'in the way that.
1- As we expected, it started to rain.
2- As you know, classes restart on 15 January.
3- As I said, I think this project will be a challenge.
