A cover letter is an opening as well as an introduction to introducing yourself to the intended company. However, not a few people who are still confused have to write what must be submitted in a cover letter.

Here are tips for creating or writing a job application letter ...

1. Do not include the same thing over and over again.

A cover letter is a medium to provide specific details about work experience and responsibilities in a concise manner. So, don't waste your word by repeating the same points as those already in the curriculum vitae (CV). Instead, state how every job you have done has improved your skills and contributed to professional development. In the end, show the reason why you are a suitable candidate for a particular position.

2. Mention excess.

Mention the best things you can do from the job position offered. Company managers generally like individuals who have a clear vision and commitment. In addition, emphasize the skills you have and show enthusiasm for the job position that you are applying for.

3. Take advantage of testimonials and work recommendation letters.

If your coworkers or superiors have said something extraordinary and impressive about you, usually in the form of praise for maximum work results, do not hesitate and be ashamed to include it in the cover letter or if you have an official recommendation letter from your boss, just send it together with a cover letter. That can strengthen your application among other job applicants.

4. Make a suitable cover letter.

It's a good idea to write a cover letter whose content is different for each job you apply for. Don't forget to underline different skills in each cover letter because each job requires different criteria for abilities and skills.

5. Use a third person's perspective.

The majority of job applicants are often confused when having to explain briefly about themselves in a cover letter. If you also experience feelings like that, here are simple tips. When writing a cover letter, use a third person's perspective so that it looks as if someone else is describing you. However, after writing, don't forget to change it back to the first person's perspective before sending it.

6. Correction and edit.

This last step is very important. A small mistake can lead to rejection. So, take the time to check really and correct the cover letter that was made before being sent.
