The Diary Game I May 6, 2022 I "Front Yard Cleaning with Kids"

A peaceful day my dear steemian friends!

How is everything going on? Hoping all goes well and we may find peace every day.

Here is our country it was declared no face to face or distance learning classes for two weeks in preparation for the upcoming national election day, on May 9, that’s Monday. Most of us public school teachers, here in the willingly serve being part of the electoral board this election. Of course, we are obliged to report to school when our presence is needed, but since today, I and my husband are at home, we decided to do front yard cleaning together with our children.

Most the plants we had were really affected, even died due to the typhoon which hit our place last December. So, we have to take out those died plants to replace new ones.

After doing all the morning routines at home, I told my two children to get those dried leaves and other plants then transfer it to an area where we place our trash.

I also asked them to water some plants as part of their afternoon even if they have classes in the morning, I always remind them to do their task. My younger son likes doing this rather than washing dishes, as what he told me. While my daughter did wash on the dishes on her own.

As I watching my children, they were really enjoying what they were doing. It feels great on my side that as a parent, I believe I am able to raise them well.

It is my intention to always include the simple household chores in their daily activities so my children would learn the basics of home tasks. As a teacher and a parent, teaching them not just on academics but also skills which will soon help them in real life learnings.

So that’s how my day went. Nothing extraordinary but it is indeed pleasant and productive.
