How do I buy Steem power?

Steem power is not a regular crypto. You cannot buy it in crypto exchanges. SP only exists within the realm of the Steemit social network, as a representation of your influence on the income of other users - the more SP you have, the more your upvote is worth.

There are two ways you can get steem power. The first is by getting rewards in Steemit, by posting and getting upvotes, and by upvoting others. Part of your rewards will be in SP. The second way is to exchange steem from your Steemit wallet to SP (a.k.a “Powering up”). This can be done from the pull down menu, in the “Steem” section of your wallet.
