How do you know when NOT to buy something.

A LOT of my friends have been asking me. why am I so into Gunpla when after I build I end up storing it anyway. It offers no practical use of any kind. Lately I have been slightly feeling that they are right. Sad as it sounds, it's like I'm asking if I don't have a place to display them, why should I have them anyway?

I am actually thinking of selling them soon. But maybe I'll do an epic photo shoot of them first! Might as well part with them with a BANG! Now the question above is quite the question right!? When should you NOT buy something?
