STOP and Smell the roses!! ALL people, places, things; eventually/inevitably will be reduced to dust...ask yourself HONESTLY, is it worth your life and sanity?
I believe the millennials in my generation and the one below (gen Z) refer to this sentiment as “YOLO”
However this is commonly misinterpreted or rather misused, in my opinion...if you only live once; Shouldn’t that be a reason to make the most out of life rather than making reckless, impulsive decisions that essentially defeats the purpose; making it paradoxically idiotic.
“YOLO” should be interpreted as a concept/philosophy that should serve as a reminder to those like myself(among many others) who, rather then applying the appropriate amount of balance in schedule, making NO time for R&R, overwork themselves preparing & securing a financial safety net for the future; a future that Isn’t even guaranteed/certain to come....hate to sound like a Nietzsche but it’s true.
I noticed thousands of people walking around mid town today all of them staring down at their phones instead of right in front of them and wondered what happened to society again hate to sound like an old grouch or a pessimist but in all honesty we are forgetting what is truly beautiful and important to us just look at this image
The irony is as investors we take chances every day on things that might pan out as huge successes in the future without realizing that life itself is an investment; your body, mind, spiritual beliefs, philosophy, mindfulness and mental health: being your portfolio. If you are carefully monitoring your portfolio and will not take a chance when it comes to your profit/assets in the market, Then why are earth aren’t you doing the same for yourself your health: body💪🏻 / spirit💡 & mind... 🤔
I took these photos earlier this morning before I left and on my way to NYC/ Times Square as usual for my daily commute to work (Currently as a freelance junior associate investment broker around the corner from Madison Avenue) after I received a job offer from someone who was impressed with my socks.
Thank God for the Internet for without it I would’ve never been able to achieve an opportunity like this without some sort of references/resume/prior experience as a self education and self experience despite how much of it and how long of it you have (1500+ Which is a ballpark estimate worth of hours and tech/finance; With more than 80% of the time dedicated strictly to block chain/crypto/the market cycle as well as mining, margin/leverage trading and angel investor which of all served collectively as a reliable source of income where I never had to work a set schedule under a boss.
However this job was quite lucrative and very lenient in terms of the description/salary and they give me a lot of leeway in terms of how I operate plus I’m doing what I do with my own money with other peoples money which is brokering except under a firm or I’m covered and everything is insured by law 🤓😜
So it feels nice to have something that’s dependable and set rather than having to constantly work a 24/7 I am working 9 to 5 while still working a 24 /7 Just doing the 24/7 Throughout the day at the 9 to 5 so I got two birds and one stone as well as alerts I am Literally walking around with a laptop and I watch series 3 and an iPad at all times constantly using all three devices as to not miss anything whether it’s breaking news or it was pertinent to finance
Which brings me to my MAIN point. I nearly had a nervous break down today because I was so overwhelmed and sleep/vitamin D deprived I had been multitasking eight things at once all for what will be nothing but dust; running around like a chicken 🐔 with its head cut off. & Neglecting friends, family, loved ones (the things that really matter) for what doesn’t matter At all, but means the world to everyone in this rat race that we live in and willingly take part in
