 Before that, tourists bathing in the beach suddenly found a strange smell. They approached the suspicious area and found pieces of clothing stuck in the sand and found corpses there. According to local authorities, the victim was about 40 years old and died of a stroke

According to police sources, they found a wallet nearby with owner Lucy, a Myanmar citizen. The investigating body is still handling the case.

The recent deaths of foreigners in Thailand have caused many visitors to fear. The incident happened only a few days after a local victim, Elise Dallemange, 30, was found dead in a tropical jungle on Koh Tao island in northern Koh Samui. At that time, the victim's body was only half due to being eaten by the lizard .

Elise's death was the latest of Koh Tao's most recent deaths, with most victims being British tourists.

Earlier, in September 2014, two British guests, Hannah Witheridge and David Mille, were killed as they headed back to the hotel. Luke Miller, a tourist on the Isle of Wight, also died at the swimming pool of Koh Tao Island in January 2016. At the time, the investigations showed "there is no evidence that he was killed".
