I can't believe that two of my nieces are in College, they were babies like yesterday ago

Happy are those who are enjoying their lives because we only have one shot in this life and if we happen to have a bad life, then it is what we get. We have a good news though, this life is really what we should not cling to because it is temporary and time affects our existence. Soon we will all be gone and then be forgotten, well it is OK for me because no amount of remembrance, prayers, posthumous awards, recognition, or even melted candles won't matter after our death because what is important to us living should be what we did here on earth if it is pleasing to God or not because we needed to turn to God in order to be with him in heaven where there is only eternal joy and happiness.

I am sad about the passage of time in terms of people being born and growing old. It is because I hate to see us all go to our end of years and I find it a dark side of life but of course that is only my opinion. It is just I like us to be like Angles of God, being born and there to stay and not like a flower, will sprout from earth, show its beauty and glory, and then wither and die, it is like a not happy ending. Although of course it is life and it is normal, a better life is that we life in joy and happiness forever.

That is why we needed to turn to God like mentioned because we do not want to end-up not go with him after our temporary time here on earth. Anyway, I just miss the times that my nieces and Nephews are just little, some of them like the two I mentioned are already in College with one of them already enrolled and God-willing will start her College life in the coming weeks, she actually would go to her preferred College where she flunk the entrance exam but thankfully a family friend working in the administration of that state University fixed something so my niece got accepted. The other one was my favorite niece and I think she is on her second year already and staying on her own to study in the capital city, she was the first-born addition to our family until my other siblings added a few more.

We still have a small family because even though my siblings are fit to raise a bigger family, they chose to just make a small family with their reasons that life is hard and probably influenced by my in-law's sibling which also have small families. I personally find it troubling because of one of the children will have a problem, they can't find more siblings to help them out. Why so? Here in my country, the first layer of seeking help is through family members, next is through relatives and friends. However, seeking help through relatives is hard, much less through friends especially if your friends can't help either. Most seek help through government services and church affiliations depending on the church. My church MCGI.org is dependable when it comes to members seeking help, the brethren will help according to their capacity and also, they are more than happy to lend a helping hand because it is what our church teaches us, "love thy neighbor", visit the sick, the imprisoned, the crippled, help one another, etc,

It is hard to live in this world because there is some point in time that we needed our lovedones and or our communities. We are indeed a social being, we really can't stand alone forever because time again affects us. Even if we are living off-grid all our lives, having to source our needs in the wilderness and even being alone, there will come a time that we will have to go into institutions for the elderly or maybe a relative would take us in in the sunset of our lives.

That is why I like the tight-knit family system and sense of community here in my country because most of the time, a person will not be alone when they needed someone. The only caveat is that if the family itself is helpless to help their lovedones in trouble or in need, then it will only be the main problem like for example, sustaining a sick family member's medical needs if the family is poor. The Barrio council can help but external support often times are limited. That is why while we are still around, we must find many ways to help ourselves because nobody will do it for us, this is a concrete jungle but we will be fortunate if we belong to a loving family, supportive friends, and of course, the inclusion of God in our lives.
