THEY ATE AND LEFT NO CRUMBS! 🔥
Sometimes we just lay back to reminisce about our day. I have been doing this for almost 20 minutes.
My mind travels far back to when I first became conscious of my surroundings. My eyes were not open yet. Must have been in between sleep and awake. A REM sleep, probably.
I remember waking from the lucid dream.
Some dreams are just so good that you don't wish to wake from them.
Anyways, I got my hot water ready. Tidied my room and settled to have a hurriedly prepared plate of beans with ripe plantain.

I only had 25 minutes left to arrive at my destination.
Before 12 PM, my ride arrived. We were soon en route to the University of Uyo, Annex Campus. The event in question was the Jurisprudence Symposium held by the Faculty of Law.
Its theme was ”Double-edged Sabre: The Yin and Yang of the Nigerian Law”.
I wasn't sure what to expect during this annual event organised by final year UNIUYO Law students. For some years, I've watched them come together to criticise the major schools of legal thought.
— Natural Law
— Positivism
— Realism
— Sociological School
— Historical School
— Marxism, and
— Kelsen’s Pure Theory
The mix of intellectual discussion plus drama gives an unforgettable stage performance.
This time, I was there physically; working alongside the Media team. I was so busy running about and trying to fix all the unforeseen fixables that I didn't remember the least thing like my phone or selfies.

The students gave their best.
My most treasured performance was that of the Marxist school. This group took creativity a notch higher.
They made use of no luxurious props or special costumes. Just humans acting as chairs, tables and even fans, at one point to show how the lower class is dehumanised.
They addressed various social issues and demonstrated how the law can be a weapon of oppression by the rich and wealthy. I wish you were present to take it all in.

It was live on YouTube Playtime: 1:20:30
It was most exciting to witness them emerge as winners.
Got home and I've been talking about it all day on my WhatsApp status.

People often see Law students as boring. But what I witnessed was far from it. They were so lively and kept the crowd engaged.
I admire how they talked about some issues without batting an eyelid. Lawyers are bold! Am I correct?
My social media apps have been buzzing with lot of posts and messages. However, my body is tired. It needs rest.
I'd think about food and any other thing when I wake.
