Fish Poop Chili Dip - Must-Eat Lao Food!
When I was in Luang Prabang, for dinner one night we stopped at a local restaurant.
The owner was friendly and he recommended some of his favorite dishes - one of them, "jaew kee pa." Which directly translates in English to "chili dip poop fish."
It's not actually poop, but mostly Mekong fish eggs, and lots of chili. Amazing with sticky rice, one of the best things I ate in Laos.
We also had "koi pa," a Lao dish of fish with lots of herbs and chili. Again, amazing.
