Wordsmiths Fiction Week 6: Season 24 – The Mystery of Project Z

Hello, Fictions-loving Steemians. How are you? Welcome to the last week of Steemit Challenge S24. Here is my story about what happened to Dineth. Let's dive into the fiction.

I want to invite @impersonal, @max-pro, and @djanita to participate in the challenge.

Dineth, very keen on science. . . . . . . . . . .in 10... 9... 8...

The countdown continues. Dineth is clueless; what is going on? When the box pronounces 'Zero', the room becomes dark. After a while, he found himself in a wormhole. He felt like he was going somewhere. He doesn't know how long it has been going on like this. At one point, it stopped moving, and the room fell into darkness again.

After a while, a blue light flashed on. The words 'Welcome to the Zetaverse, Mr. Daniel' came from the box. Daniel was his grandfather's name. After a while, a white screen appeared in front of him out of nowhere. The sentence 'Where do you want to go?' appeared there. Then, one by one, pictures of seven planets that looked like Earth appeared on the screen. Earth was among the seven planets. A green light was blinking on the Earth. Background music was playing from the box. In that atmosphere, his fear was completely gone. He was now very excited.

‎He looked at the screen in front of him. Read the names. Kepler-452b, Kepler-22b, Proxima Centauri b, TRAPPIST-1e, f, g,b, LHS 1140 b, Earth, TOI 700 d. The names seemed familiar. Those planets were constantly rotating. Some planets were spinning faster than Earth, some were rotating a little slower. The information about how far the planets were from his current location was also written. After a while, Dineth suddenly remembered, Hey, these are planets that look like Earth. The planets that scientists believe may have life. That is, his grandfather has created a project with seven planets that look like Earth and are suitable for life. He has named it Zetaverse.

The word Zetaverse also seemed familiar to him. He tried to remember where he had seen the word. Yes, he remembered, it was a Greek alphabet. In the Greek alphabet, Zeta is the sixth letter, and the value of Zeta is seven. It looks like the English alphabet Z. The whole thing became clear to him. There are a total of seven planets here, including Earth, and scientists believe that the remaining six planets are suitable for the habitation of creatures like Earth. Out of the seven planets, Earth is the sixth in the Zetaverse. That is, he had no more doubts about the Zetaverse that Project Z was.

He is not afraid anymore. Rather, he is now excited with the desire to know the unknown. He can go to another planet if he wants. For this, by clicking on any of the six planets, he will reach that planet. That is the idea. He went forward and pressed on the planet named Proxima Centauri b. Immediately, the room became dark as before. After a while, he found himself in the wormhole again. This time, he is not afraid anymore. He is quite happy because he will reach the planet Proxima Centauri b very soon.

He waited for the blue light to turn on. But no. His idea was wrong. Instead of the blue light, the red light came on. At the same time, the warning siren sounded inside the box. He was scared. So, could he not reach the planet Proxima Centauri b? Was he stuck halfway? Where was he now? Fear surrounded him. After a while, the white screen appeared in front of him again. He regained some courage. The writing appeared,

‎Sorry! The project is incomplete.

Small text below,

Do you want to complete the project?

Dineth wants to complete the project. Excitedly, he clicks the Yes button. Then Put the Password appears on the screen, along with English and Greek alphabets and numbers below. Dineth doesn't know the password. There are a total of seven cross marks. This means the password is 7 characters. He thinks a lot. What could be the password? He can't match the password in any way. It feels like a puzzle to him.

‎He was disappointed. Suddenly, he thought that his grandfather loved him a lot. His science skills were due to his grandfather. Maybe his name is a password. But the number of letters in his name is.......6. No, no. He started thinking more. Suddenly, he thought of 'Zeta,' according to which his grandfather named the project. So, does Zeta have any relation to a password? No, just putting Zeta in his name will make the password. Thinking this, he put his name and the Greek alphabet Zeta. The password space is spinning. He can't stand the wait. Suddenly, a green tick mark flashed. A text appeared on the screen,

‎Congratulations, Dineth. I was sure that Project Z would fall into your hands. You can also put the password. Now I will tell you what to do next. I don't think I will be able to complete this project. I will die before that. So I am telling you how to complete the rest of the project for you. For this, you have to become a scientist. You have to study a lot. There is no alternative to studying. The more you know, the more you will be amazed by the world of science. There is no shortcut to completing this project. To complete this project, you must know, and to know, you must read. I hope you will finish my unfinished work one day.

Then the screen turned off, everything went dark. After a while, he found himself back in his room. The box with Project Z written on it was still there where he had kept it. His illusion has not yet worn off. He felt sleepy. After a while, his father came to call him. When he arrived, he saw the Project Z box. A smile appeared on his lips. Dineth also got the method of motivating himself. Rajen himself does not know which of his ancestors introduced this method. However, in the lineage, they adapt to the times and modernize this method. For example, this device was made by his father to match the present. Dineth had been in his room all this time. But he might be thinking that he was on a space station. Rajen might also have made something timely for his grandson. Rajen came back. Dineth needs to sleep now.
