"Ban Pong Nak", the ancient house of our two ancient Kings when visiting the northern part of Thailand
Ban Pong Nak is an ancient house (approx. 90 years olds) located in Lampang province. It was used to be the house of our two ancient Kings when visited the northern part of Thailand. (His Majesty King Rama VII and His Majesty King Rama IX)
Ban Pong Nak is a northern language.
Ban means house
Pong means window
Nak means many
Therefore, Ban Pong Nak means a house with many windows.
Ban Pong Nak has classic European architecture from the Greek period combined with Thai architecture.
At present, Ban Pong Nak is a Military Museum.
The ground floor of the building is a display of some weapons used during World War II.
Apart from weapons, there are also other interesting ancient things; such as
war medals of soldiers who fought in the war and soldier helmet....
